The implant is in fact a solid or hollow metallic cylinder 10 - 14 mm long. It is made of pure metal - titanium or nanostructured titanium and it is usually equipped with a thread, similarly as a screw-bolt. After thorough examination of the patient this implant is surgically implemented into the jawbone. This operation lasts approximately 15 - 20 minutes and after it you can normally continue your usual daily activities.
